Rejection
Notes on Getting Shot Down
It hurts but it’s rarely personal.
People reject you based on their context. There’s a ton of reasons why someone can shoot you down. Here are some of them:
“It’s not the right time for us.”
“We don’t have the budget.”
“Our priorities are elsewhere.”
You “not being good enough” usually isn’t on that list.
But sometimes it is. And that’s not a bad thing
“No” is a Leading Indicator
What’s more worrying that hearing “no” is hearing nothing at all.
“No” means you’re taking action.
Don’t Stop 3 ft. From Gold
Getting shot down is tiring. Having 100 doors slammed in your face takes a toll. What you don’t know is that door 101 could be the “yes” you’ve been waiting on.
Say yes to yourself first.
